WorksopWeb · The next ten years from a basement desk
Build the website. Then help the street give its best.
This website is designed and maintained by Dawid Szewczuk, from the basement at 12 Gateford Road, 1st floor flat, Worksop S80 1EB. WorksopWeb is an optional service for local businesses — tools you choose, when you want them, so you can give your best to local people. Not a national app that owns your customers. Your front door. Your words. Your town.
We are on stage 4 of 12. Next: the poster engine. Later: one shop on the street and on the web. Horizon: a local search for checked businesses — no job too small or too big.

Stage 1 · Done
The desk and the story
A plain WorksopWeb website people can read: who it is for, the prices, Our Mission, and a contact form. No national platform in the middle — just a desk in Worksop saying clearly what we offer local shops, trades, and estate agencies.
For the business
You can read the mission and the prices before you send a note. Nothing is hidden behind a sales call.
For the town
The story is public: keep the heart of the high street in local hands, and help good neighbours point customers to each other.
Card site, managed site, posting tools, Autopilot, and Pro Shop. Add-ons for shop, booking, gallery, reviews, and hours. Optional extras — pick what helps you serve locals better. Visitors can try a demo before they buy.
Give your best online
A clear page for the one-van trade. A fuller site for the cafe or estate office. Posting tools when you are ready to speak to Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Google without five separate apps.
Try before you commit
Live demos show the shop, the booking desk, and the posting box. Nothing is sent. Nothing is for sale on them. You see how it feels for your customers.
The customer desk: pages, shop, bookings, customer accounts, header and footer, cookie policy — so a local business can keep their own front door tidy without waiting on a giant platform.
Tools to serve locals well
Change Friday’s price. Update the soup. Open a booking slot. Put a photo of today’s work up. Optional login for the owner; the public still gets a clear site.
Safe to try
A public Demo login lets a future customer try the desk without seeing admin tools. Practise giving your best before you go live.
The product is on the public website. First hosted sites are going live. One person, one desk, a real Worksop address. An optional service for local businesses who want to give more to their own streets — not a chain of offices.
What “optional” means
You choose the package. You choose the add-ons. You keep your words and your customers. We do not run your trade for you. We make sure the sign is up and the door online stays open.
Who we serve
Shops, vans, counters, and local estate agencies within about sixty miles. Small and large. No job too small or too big for the desk that builds the site.
A posting desk that feels as close as the apps people already tap — so a local business can put their best offer in front of local people without living inside five separate apps.
What the business gets
One login for Facebook, Instagram, Google, and LinkedIn. Write once or speak it from the van. Preview on a phone. Approve before anything goes live. Hours, photos, and offers stay under your name.
How locals benefit
Clear posts from the shop they already trust — today’s special, a free slot, a finished job — instead of paid ads from a national chain shouting over the high street.
Optional, always
Use the poster engine when it helps. Turn quiet when you are busy on the tools. Neighbour nudge: a trusted shop next door can ask to be mentioned — only if both of you say yes.
Give your best
Your voice. Your photos. Your prices. The engine carries them; it does not replace you. No middleman taking a slice of the custom.
One shop. Street door and web door. One list of things to sell — so when you give your best to a customer in the room, the same truth shows online for the next neighbour who looks.
For the counter
When the soup runs out or a trade slot fills, the website, Google, Facebook, and your shop page all know. No double books. No “sorry, we sold the last one” after someone paid online.
For the town
Locals see what is really available today. Cafe specials vanish when gone. Trade slots close when they are full. Honesty is part of giving your best.
Optional reach beyond the high street — without giving the giant the ownership of your shop. Same list, same prices, same photos. Still your name. Still serving locals first.
What the business gets
One click can list items on eBay UK, Etsy, Amazon UK, Google Shopping, Facebook & Instagram Shop, and TikTok Shop UK. Stock and price stay in your hands. Listings carry a quiet “from this street” mark.
How locals still come first
Click & Collect still points at your real door. Neighbours who want to buy from you in town still can. The big sites are an optional arm of the same body — not a replacement for the street.
The mission animation becomes real: neighbour links between shops and trades, so local businesses can send custom to each other and give the town a fuller day out — without a national app in the middle.
Optional for businesses
Recommend the cafe you trust. Point new movers to the locksmith you use. Join a quiet sign-in across neighbour shops if you want loyalty and reorders — only if you opt in.
Better for locals
A morning that starts at the baker, stops for coffee, and books the window cleaner — each door still independent, each link a real word across the counter.
When a local estate agency hands over the keys, optional offers from trusted locksmith, heating, decorator, and gardener can light up — only shops that said yes. Local businesses giving their best at the moment a family needs them.
For estate agencies
Point new movers to trades you genuinely trust. No lead-seller taking a cut. The agency stays the neighbour who knows the street.
For trades on the move
When the plumber’s van is on that estate, nearby counters can greet the same street. Optional: show where you are serving today so locals find a free slot nearby.
Desk in your pocket. Autopilot that answers the street.
The full manager on your phone — so a busy local business can give a quick, clear answer to a local person without sitting at a computer all day.
Optional helpers
Post, book, stock, neighbours — from the van. Autopilot can draft replies, quotes, and posts in your voice. You always approve before anything goes out. Nothing speaks for you without your yes.
Giving your best while you work
Between jobs you can confirm a booking, update stock, or post a finished photo. Locals get a faster, clearer answer. You stay on the tools.

Stage 11 · Horizon 2.0
Hold your phone up to the high street
Point your phone at a real shop door and see hours, today’s soup, and open slots over the glass — so local businesses can show their best offer to people standing right outside.
For the shop
Optional: today’s specials and free slots appear over your real door. Quiet local pickup — collect from the bakery or a locker in town — without Amazon owning the last step.
For the neighbour walking past
See if you are open. See what is on. Book or collect without downloading five apps. The high street stays the high street — with a little more truth in the glass.

Stage 12 · Horizon · The last big step
A local search for local, checked businesses
Not another national directory that sells the top spot to the highest bidder. A search that stays in the towns we serve — so a neighbour can find a real shop or trade with a proper website, a real door, and a name that stands behind the work. Optional for the community. Optional for the business. Built so local businesses can give their best to locals. No job too small or too big for us.
What it is
A simple search for people who live and work around Worksop and sixty miles round. Type what you need — a baker, a plumber, a florist, a joiner, a cafe, a locksmith, a local estate agency — and see businesses that already have their own WorksopWeb front door, not a faceless card on a giant app.
Results point to the real door and the real website: hours, phone, prices, Click & Collect, bookings, photos of the work. Street door and web door, still one shop.
Who it is for
Local people who want a trusted name without scrolling past national chains and paid adverts. A leaking tap at midnight. A wedding cake. A van that won’t start. A house that needs keys. A lunch that is open today.
Local businesses who already keep their own page honest — so when someone searches, they find you, not a lead-seller who sold your phone number three times. An optional way to be found by the community you already serve.
Checked, not bought
Only businesses that have been through this desk and keep a proper site of their own. We check they are local, reachable, and clear about what they offer. Nobody buys the top of the list. A good name and good work rise by word of mouth and by what is on the page — not by who paid the most this month.
Optional both ways
For the town: search when you need a trade or a counter. No account required to look. No cut taken from the job when you ring the plumber yourself. For the business: join when you are ready to be found this way. Leave the quiet tools quiet if you prefer word of mouth alone.
The promise
No job too small or too big for us
A window cleaned. A fuse board. A full kitchen. A Saturday special. A whole high street. The search does not only show the “big” jobs the giants care about. A sole trader with one van sits beside the family firm with three. If they serve this community and keep their word on their own site, they belong here — and WorksopWeb stays an optional service so they can keep giving their best to locals.

Give your best to locals
No paid top spot
No job too small or too big
Every earlier stage — poster engine, one shop, neighbour links, vans on the map — feeds this last step: tools local businesses can choose, so the living web is something people can search, and something shops can use to serve their own streets better.
This website is designed and maintained by Dawid Szewczuk. The desk is still a startup, built from the basement at 12 Gateford Road, 1st floor flat, Worksop S80 1EB.
Now: stage 4 of 12 — first live websites. Optional tools so local businesses can give their best to locals. Next: the poster engine.
